Bel Colle’s Barolo DOCG « Monvigliero » is produced in the most iconic cru of Verduno, a natural amphitheater facing southwest that gives the Nebbiolo an expression of rare elegance. The calcareous-clay soils and dry climate favor balanced maturation and extraordinary aromatic finesse. Vinification involves temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, with maceration for 22–25 days and slow malolactic fermentation. Aging in large oak barrels and subsequent bottle aging complete the wine’s profile. In the glass, it appears garnet red with orange highlights, while on the nose, red fruits, plum, cherry, and dark spices emerge. The palate is velvety and harmonious, supported by fresh acidity and fine tannins, with an elegant and persistent finish.
